Lenya Samanis obtained a first class English degree from the University of London, as well as two MAs - in Postmodernism, and Creative Writing. She has a literary agent at David Hingham Ltd., and has had short stories published, both online and in print. In 2006, she was one of three shortlisted for the New Writing Ventures award for Fiction, and was a recipient of Arts Council funding for the writing of her first novel, Yen. She has lived in Tokyo, London, and Cyprus, and is not comfortable with the notion of biography.
